My hands are red and have a rash, and are very dry what can i use over the counter lotion or anything?

it stings using regular lotion. My hands are red and have a rash, and are very dry what can i use over the counter lotion or anything?
Might be dry skin....try lotion with NO PERFUMES (the perfumes will just make the redness, dryness and itching worse)...like Nivea, or extra sensitive brands. If this doesn't work, go see a doctor! Good luckMy hands are red and have a rash, and are very dry what can i use over the counter lotion or anything?

I would go to someone if it gets worse and nothing works. i wouldn't mess around with it though. Maybe you should see a doctor.
My son swears by Mane and Tail Hoof and Nail cream. Hard to find in the stores but you can find it online. He says it is the best stuff he has ever used for dry, chapped hands.

No matter what lotion i use, my hands are always dry!!?

i dont know why, but ever since i ws in fifth grade, my handa are hard and REALLY dry. i used lubriderm but that does nothing. i really need lotion that will make my hands soft like a baby's bottom. ( no joke) help!!

P.S. it needs to be somehting cheap that i can find in a drug storeNo matter what lotion i use, my hands are always dry!!?
okay, i had SUPER red and dry and flaky hands until i tried this. get a pair of gloves like these

http://cgi.ebay.com/True-Blue-Spa-Gel-Gl鈥?/a>

and before you go to bed SLATHER your hands in Vaseline, or another of my favorites, Burts Bees Coconut foot cream-works on hands too and but on your gloves. your skin will be perfect overnight. Hope i helped!

also if you cant find spa gloves like that, you can use dish gloves, or a pair of old winter gloves, as long as they hug your skin.No matter what lotion i use, my hands are always dry!!?
Ask for a cream with a lots of grease in it. Ones you found it put alots of the cream and make sure you always have it on.
I've had dry hands since around fifth grade, also. That's at least when I noticed it. It comes from you parents genes. My son also has this. Nothing works. I've tried everything and I've never had results that gave you soft hands. It's frustrating.
Try putting a concentrated hand lotion on before you go to bed and wear cotton gloves, so that none of it can rub off. In the morning, you should have nice soft hands!

If nothing helps, go to your doctor, they might be able to help

xx
This may sound insane, but go to a store and buy gloves...cheap cloth gloves, and some UDDER CREAM..lol I know I know, it sounds crazy but it works.. Udder cream was first used in dairy farms on the cows udders to keep them from getting chapped due to the milking machines.... Coat your hands in the cream at night and put the gloves on. Do this until your hands are soft. Or if all else, use Crisco. My mom used it on her feet for years in the winter time to keep them from cracking, and she would wear socks to keep it from getting on the sheets.

PS.

Apply a rich lotion to your hands after every handwashing, and use mild soaps..also, wear gloves (rubber) when washing dishes.

Two part poll: should men have lotion soft hands and are denim shorts so 1980's you could just cry?

no because men are touhg so they need tough hands to prove it....

and omg YES!!!!!Two part poll: should men have lotion soft hands and are denim shorts so 1980's you could just cry?
Yes. If I wanted to have some rough-handed monster rubbing me up and down, I'd call my dad.

Yes. I used to have a pair of really, really, really short ones that had black, lacy, biker shorts style shorts sewn into them. Two part poll: should men have lotion soft hands and are denim shorts so 1980's you could just cry?

I don't why should it matter

And

i think that both men and women should take care of their hands by moisturizing it with hand cream and/or lotion. denim shorts are for whoever likes them.

Good lotion for dry hands?

Okay. At times, I tend to have dry skin on my elbows and hands. I'm more concerned though about the dryness of my hands. I've used multiple types of lotions to help smoothen them out nicely but they don't work =/

does anyone know any good lotions to help dry skin on hands more soft?Good lotion for dry hands?
This could be Psoriasis or ezema. But there is a website that has products to help with cracking, pealing hands, feet, etc. Naturally made, soaps lotions using essential oils. One product that is fantastic called the Absolute Skin Doctor Lotion which uses essential oils to get help with skin conditions the website is djmagicherb.com Natures' Garden Hope this helps!Good lotion for dry hands?
I think Palmer's Coco Butter with Vitamin E is great. I prefer the cream, but it comes in a lotion and in a tube you can carry in your purse, or pocket. Put it on before bed and put some gloves on or some socks over your hands. Use it during the day as needed.
Pineapple are good skin softeners which cleanse and rejuvenate dull and dry skin, especially for classic rough skin spots like knees, elbows, and heels.

Palmer's Coco Butter

Nivea's mosturising lotion

Vaseline's mosturising lotion
I like Gold Bond's Ultimate lotions in the white bottles- they come in Shea and Aloe, and I like the Shea.
Curel is really good if you don't want something sented. You can use it on your face and you won't break out. I love it!
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream (intensive moisturizing hand treatment)

My wife uses Lubriderm with great results.

What is the best lotion for cracked skin on hands? I use Jergens Skin So Soft daily and my hands still crack!

Utter cream. And yes I'm talking about cow utter cream. You can find it at any feed store and you just can't beat it. I have extremely dry skin and this stuff is great! What is the best lotion for cracked skin on hands? I use Jergens Skin So Soft daily and my hands still crack!
The best thing that I have found is Utter Balm. We use it on the ranch when milking our cows. The teats of a cow are exposed to more harsh weather then anything else that I know of. It works great and has been around for a long time. You can find it at feed and tack stores or even in a drugstore, Kmart, Wal-mart, or Target. If that doesn't work for you then try something with a high concentration of Lanolin in it. Lanolin is a natural oil found in Sheep's wool. I used to run my hands through the wool of our sheep when my hands got cracked. What is the best lotion for cracked skin on hands? I use Jergens Skin So Soft daily and my hands still crack!
Vaseline products for dry skin
Those skin lotions actually contain a lot of water, which will make your hands drier, not more moist! The best thing to do is rub your hands and other dry skin with baby oil or baby oil jell before going to bed at night. Do that every day and it will prevent cracking.
Eucerin cream, its like $7 a tub, but its the best, Walmart has the generic brand, I bought it. Its nice. Really thick and creamy and does not contain alcohol. My doctor told me most lotions contain alcohol. All doctors Ive went to recommen Eucerin cream. Ive used the eucerin for my feet too and its excellent.
Try Neutrogena's Hand cream (Norweigian Formular). It is very good. It is a high concentration formular and works a treat.

An excellent cream!!!!
You can use Quench by Olay it is desinged especially for rough skin on your hands
i use coco butter
Try Gold Bond, my fiance had the same problem as you and that is the ONLY thing that helped.
the best is neutrogena norwegian formula hand cream.

it's pretty thick and can be a bit greasy at first, but once it sinks in after a minute or two, then it's all better!

i use it as soon as i get a sign of dry skin!!! my mom is a nurse and she is constantly washing her hands and they get so dry....but after she uses that stuff they look great!

take care.
I love Nivea. It's greasy, but it works. Also Eucerin. Or you could use vaseline. Best suggestion is to slather your hands at night and put on cotton gloves (A pair of socks will do). It will keep the cream on your hands and keep your sheets clean. In the morning, your hands will be soft.
Glycomed
Apply a liberal amount of petroleum jelly to your hands just before you go to bed. By morning, they'll be soft and smooth.

Try this!

It works wonders!

Good Luck :)
Try Neutrogena - it's a gel almost- very good stuff!
lubriderm works best to me for cracked hands. That's what we use here at work.
Well if your skin is really dry and cracking, I would go with Nivea!!! - Its Great for that sort of thing!!!! And it doesnt get greasy or anything and it helps heal the dry skin. Another one I also like is St.Ives. They have a lot of different kind of lotions you can use. Hope this helps you stay skin soft! hehe : )
I use e45 cream, its specially made for dry skin, and its not scented so its suitable for sensitive skin
Aveeno Intensive hand cream - its the best .
Forget all the lotions

try smothering your whole body with

OLIVE OIL and see what a big difference it makes! just try for a week and see the difference. you will be soft and very silky ...
Palmers Cocoa Butter. Smells nice, too!
its called ';miracle hand repair'; you can order it online or buy it at bed bath and beyond.
Well, I believe you need something more than just preventing cracked hand skin.

Me and my girlfriend have tried quite a number of different hand lotions whenever we can (eg. Nivea, Neutrogena, Eucerin, Vaseline, Jergens,.....). The result? Some products are too greasy, some products causes my girlfriend's sensitive skin to itch, some products are slow to absorb or simply will not absorb into the skin whereas MOST products are too expensive and NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

Eventually we ended up in a lotion that is non-greasy, superb absorbant, adds moisture, very reasonable price, and contains honey. Why honey? Because:

1) It is a natural humectant.

2) Natural anti-bacterial properties.

3) Contains Vitamin B6, C, Thiamin, Riboflavin and Niacin

4) Contains antioxidants and amino acids.

You can just imagine how sweet-smelling and how effective the lotion is!!!

Pls feel free to contact me if anyone is interested.

If they are really cracked....go to walmart and invest in a Parrafin wax spa for your hands.....its a warmer that you melt oil infused wax in...the wax comes with it....dip your hands every night ....leave them in the mittens that also comes with it for a half hours or so...the longer the better....then remove wax and put on a good lotion...i like melalucas renew...or anything without fragrance or anything made for baby's that wont sting the open cracks....good luck

How to you get a stain out of a victoria demi bra that you have to hand wash? the stains are from lotions?

You could try stain stick - that works on my washing machine clothes. How to you get a stain out of a victoria demi bra that you have to hand wash? the stains are from lotions?
I would gently rub the stains with dishwashing detergent and a toothbrush. Soak in the sink in warm water and then rinse in a sink with 1 cup white vinegar to remove soap residue. How to you get a stain out of a victoria demi bra that you have to hand wash? the stains are from lotions?
I safety pin my straps together so they don't tangle and put them in the wash machine on gentle cycle they come out clean and perfect. Hand washing sucks I don't feel that I get them clean by hand washing.
I would use Oxi clean and woolite.

let it soak in that solution over night and wash as usual.
