Why is it that I always put lotion on my hands but?

my skin is so rough, and hard?

What can I use to make them soft?Why is it that I always put lotion on my hands but?
Aveeno Oatmeal Lotion is the best I've found. It makes your skin incredibly soft. I use it all over after showering and have found nothing that works better for me. Aveeno has something for every skin type and skin need and doesn't have an overpowering scent. You could also try using Vaseline, Bag Balm or Burt's Bee's hand salve, apply that to your hands at bedtime and wear cotton gloves over night. This will also work.Why is it that I always put lotion on my hands but?
I know what your r going through! My job changed the condition of my hands. At night take some Vaseline (about a spoonful) and massage it into your hands %26amp; put a pair of socks on your hands overnight so the vaseline wont end up on your pillow. Afterwards, buy a good NOT cheap lotion (Vaseline Intensive Care) and apply throughout the day. Good Luck! Only do the Vaseline overnight treatment once a week or when you notice extreme conditions.
It is likely whatever you do with your hands all day that is making them rough and hard. I use Curel for Sensitive Skin, because is has no Lanolin in it. I am allergic and lanolin makes my hands dryer rather than smoother.

To give your hands a good treatment, either use cotton gloves or tube socks. Put lotion on your hands and rub in as much as you can, concentrating on the worst parts (for me it's the base of the nails -- cuticles). Then put on even more. Put the gloves or socks over your hands and then sleep with the lotion on your hands. You may have to do this a few times in order to see results.

There is actually a riddle that asks: ';What do you do to get soft hands?';

The answer is: ';Nothing.';

Make sure if you work with hot water that you wear latex or vinyl gloves to protect your skin (you need to protect the natural oils on your hands). Also make sure you wear gloves when gardening, moving cinder blocks, or anything else that can make your skin dry out.
well, look at the ingredients, if the first one is water, your chances for soft skin (if your skin is naturally rough anyway) aren't very big. also if there are a lot of dyes or perfume that could mask or overpower the things in it that are supposed to make your skin soft. my aunt has this skin disease that makes her skin really hard and rough and the best she's reccommended for me so far have been st. ives and this one lotion called hemp, it's got a green and orange label and it's in a brown bottle.

YA
the lotion that you use for you hands isnt sensitive or smooth. its because of the cemicals in the lotions. but the best thing to really use at the moment is coco butter..that works for everything. and plus you can see some results
