I have extremely dry, cracked hands. I have tried a lot of different lotions on them. Nothing seems to work. What is the best lotion for DRY CRACKED HANDS?
I agree with several of these guys, Eucerin has always been great. It is a little expensive (not as bad as bath %26amp; body works), but a bottle lasts forever! My daughter was in the hospital and her skin was extremely dry and cracking open, and it was what they recommended. You can usually find coupons online for it as well. It is fragrance free and great for sensitive skin.
A close second is a cracked heel cream from Avon. It is very thick and your skin will be very smooth after using it.
If you don't wanna buy the cotton gloves as suggested below (it really helps!), you can use clean dry socks overnight :)What is the best lotion for DRY CRACKED HANDS?
Any heavy duty lotion worn overnight with cotton gloves is really helpful, your hands feel great in the morning. It is a little hard to get used to sleeping with gloves. You can get boxes of 50 cotton gloves that are washable and reusable, just be sure to get the ones that have sewn hems so they don't unravel.
Personally I use Nivea. It's a blue bottle. and it really works. i have really dry hands, and it moisturizes it. Lubriderm is also another good one. I wont recommend good smelling lotions from like vsecret or bath and body works. they smell really nice but they wont rejuvinate your skin in a day. Nivea and Lubriderm works really well.
Anything with coco butter, make sure it's a moisturizing lotion specifically for dry skin.
Check the link below for some good brands.

I had that really bad. I use Lubriderm (I became addicted to it after I got my tattoo). There's also ';store brands'; that are cheaper. I put it on twice when I do it. At first my hands just absorb it all, but I put in on again right after that and my hands are good all day. :)
There is this stuff called ';Udderly Smooth';. It was originally made for farmers while milking cows, but it serves as an amazing moisturizer. It's usually found in the medicine aisles at stores though. You can also try just simple Vaseline.
There are many lotions for dry skin which are not greasy, but they might
cost more than your regular drugstore brands. Try Eucerin or Aveeno. For a really bad dry skin situation (like cracking and bleeding) use Bag Balm at night and cover your hands with thin cotton gloves.
I really like Cetaphil. I put it on right after I shower and rub it in gently. After it dries I go on with my day. It's also good to put it on and night before bedtime. It's not too greasy and smells good.
Go to your doctor, you probably have eczema.
Your doctor can give you a prescribed lotion that works really well and it'll make your skin a lot softer.
Find yourself an old country store or feed store and purchase some bag balm. It is used to prevent cow's udders from drying and cracking and works great on human hands.
i bought a lotion from trader joes called moisturizing cream, extra dry formula. It works really well.. and dials vanilla and honey foaming hand soap seems to keep them from cracking so much.
Its not fun, but good luck.
Aveeno Intense Relief Repair Cream. I have eczema and this works wonders for my skin.

Vaseline....
Zimms Crack Cream
Udderly Smooth
Arnica
All common, and pretty cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!
neutrogena norwegian formula hand lotion
St. Ives moisturisers are good and they aren't tested on animals
Palmers!
Eucerin,by far!!! It is thicker than most and lasts longer.
use something that is fragrance free such as Neutrogena. the perfume in some lotions will make your hands worse.
La Roche-Posay - Hand repair cream; this is for severely dry skin. My hands are soft whenever I use this product.
I use Eucerin.
Cornhuskers or Pure Olive Oil if you are not going out for a while(Smell)
Have you tried a cream or a body butter?
If Eucerin doesn't work, I don't know what will.
I've used Aloe for 10 years! It works great for me!
