I have eczema and at work my hands get really dry, which makes them crack if they're dry for too long - and it's really unattractive. What is a good moisturizer for work that isn't too greasy or sticky (so it won't get all over the merchandise) that isn't too expensive and is a good size for a purse?Best lotion for ultra dry hands in a travel size?
I love Aveda's Hand Relief. I use it constantly. For something you can get in the drugstore, the best thing is Aveeno Eczema Care.Best lotion for ultra dry hands in a travel size?
If you go to Target they have a section that has travel stuff they have a travel sized version of this lotion called Eucerin! I think it's pretty much the best. They have it on the regular lotion aisle too in different sizes. My dad has the same condition and that's the only thing he uses.
Eucerin also has a product called Aquaphor healing ointment which is recommended for eczema.
You can't use vaseline on your hands at work that would be too greasy. =\
As someone mentioned above, Vaseline intensive care lotion is GREAT. I have dry skin, and I've tried lots of diff kinds of lotions. This one is the best I've found, and it's not that expensive either! It's not greasy at all, and it doesn't have a strong smell (so it won't clash with your perfume or body spray). In my experience, regular vaseline doesn't work very well because it doesn't soak into my skin when it's really dry--it just sits on top of my skin and makes it greasy. So I wouldn't recommend that--go with the actual Vaseline lotion.
I don't know if it comes in travel sizes--it's hard to find lotion that does--but you might consider buying a little empty bottle to put some lotion from a full-sized bottle in, so you can carry that in your purse. Lots of times, the section that has miniature travel hygeine supplies has empty bottles, etc. as well.
well, if you want something from the local drugstore, i'd go with an aveeno handcream.
cheap lotions, in travel sizes won't go a long way though, and often are decently oily and will leave a greasy feeling on your hands and a residue on merchandise, ufortunately. so your selection is limited.
however, if you're willing to go out of your way, the body shop (if you have one) carries a really great hemp based line that goes from hand lotions to body wash and shampoo.
because it's hemp based, and not completely oil and fat based, and is more of a natural than chemically enhanced moisturizer, it doesn't make your hands greasy but it will moisturize them well for a while.
a little goes a long way as well.
i had a small tube for about six months in my bag.
it's not too expensive.
i paid about 8$ for mine.
i suggest gysomed , its come in a little bottle or vasaline works great you know i have eczema on my hands and when i have the time i put of vasaline and white cloth gloves that keep in the moisterizer
also when you are using water make sure you put on vasaline because the protrelium gelly repells the water therefore your hands will stay nice and moisterized when you are swimming
I would get the purse size Neutrogena Norweigen Hand Cream. I work in a hospital pharmacy where I wash my hands ALL the time and I use this. I have the same problem as you and this keeps my hands moist.

You can find this at any Walgreens, KMart or Walmart cheap.
Vaseline works great. It helps revive dry skin immediately. The only downside is that it does make your hand quite greasy. But one suggestion is, leave it on for about 5 minutes, quickly wipe it off with a tissue/paper towel. Water won't work for it.
I find that Vaseline - (i think that the particular one is called 'intensive care') body lotion works. It's in a white bottle with a blue and white nozzle at the top. Dove works really well too, and Aveeno.
Just go to target and go to the 99cent rack and gat the johnson's lotion.
Try dove oil lotion. You can find it in walmart or wallgreens.
gold bond works well
